This Underrated Water And Adventure Park In North Carolina Is The Most Fun You've Had In Ages
Cooling off on a hot summer day in the Tar Heel State is an awesome way to create family memories to last a lifetime. In fact, generations of kids, along with their parents, have flocked to a popular swimming hole just outside of Fayetteville for more than 35 years and if you haven't discovered the fun at Fantasy Lake Water Park yet, then you're in for a sweet treat.
From water slides to high jumps and more, Fantasy Lake has a little of everything to keep all members of the family happy and satisfied for the day.
Fantasy Lake opened in 1983 and still offers the same exciting and wholesome old-fashioned summer fun it did back in the day. And with an on-site cafe, you can plan to spend all day enjoying the water and land activities.
The Banana Slides (pictured here) create swoops and swirls as you race another person to the bottom. The Master Blaster closed-tube slides swish and swirl riders all the way to the bottom before dropping them into the cool waters of Fantasy Lake. And the smaller water slides over at Fantasyland for Kids give younger visitors a chance at the same kind of fun.
Those over the age of 7 can choose from the beginner platform — or the brave the high platform on a daring jump into a 10-foot pool below.
The smaller Tarzan swings (pictured here) are only a few feet from the water, while the larger swings power a drop of tens of feet. They just don't make water parks like this one any more.
This adventure park also has kayaks and paddle boards. If you've been wanting to learn how to paddle board, then this is the place to do it. (There are lifeguards all over the place.)
Grab a bite to eat and head over to one of the picnic tables. (Unlike at other water parks, you won't need to pay to reserve one.) We can't think of a better place to enjoy a day in the sun reminiscent of the good ole days!
Add this fun water park to your list of summer activities this year!
